This is one of my favorite ‘go to’ sites for vegan recipes.  I have enjoyed many of the recipes from this site and I love to just scroll through the recipes until I find one that calls to me.

I enjoy both the sweet and savory flavors of a pumpkin and when I came across this recipe I knew I needed to add it to my blog, for future reference.

Beyond Meat

As someone that eats a plant-based, vegan diet I tend to stay away from processed food. I have vegan friends that love beyond meet and they have encouraged me to try it.

We I finally did. I tried the hot Italian sausage. I did enjoy this with a nice plate of spaghetti.  I don’t think I will eat this meat options on a regular basis, but for a once in a while thing, I will definitely be trying the other options.

Superfoods Are a Marketing Ploy

Every food producer wants to expand the sales of their product, so they market their product to do that. Health statements and claims add to increased sells so they will fund research to support their products having more of a health benefit than just in general.

As a person that eats a plant-based diet, I can feel the difference that natural, whole foods have on my body. This is why I eat the fruits, vegetables, grains, and nuts that I do. I don’t focus on food studies or research, I listen to my body because that is what matters in the end.

I came across this site where the organization finds and removes brutal wire traps meant to kill elephants. They then turn these horrible things into beautiful jewelry. I recently got the necklace I purchased and love wearing it. Elephants have always been one of my favorite animals and I can only hope this organization can continue saving these animals from the cruelty of these traps.

Danone’s New Vegan Brands Drive $760M Profit Spike

I like seeing growth in plant-based food choices, because it means more people are choosing to eat more plant-based choices. I choose to eat a full plant-based diet, but that is me. I believe that if people just choose to eat more plants than animals products at each meal their health will benefit.

I also choose more whole foods instead of processed foods, but having options like those provided by Danone are great for when I want those options.
